Rock & Rose VIII - For Those About To Rock

Rock and Rose in an annual house party that features talented bands from the nooks and crannies of the hillside of Marin County, California. Marin County has a seething history of rock legends living among the oak and bay studded landscape. The legacy that was left behind in our local communities by such music makers as The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Carlos Santana has beget yet another generation of rockers and rollers.

Rock and Rose was created by a group of dedicated music lovers led by San Rafael residents Luciana Laughter and Ethan Turner and co-produced with local rockers Mark Antonio and his wife Sierra Simonetta, of who contributed "The Metal Song" for this movie.

Rock and Rose is in it's eight year of rocking and rolling in a small backyard shrouded in oak and acacia trees in a quiet residential neighborhood in San Rafael, CA. It holds tribute to the gems of musical magicians we have in the area. It gives us a chance to socialize, party, play and enjoy live music all day long.

My 7 hour stay at Rock & Rose VII on May 28th, 20011 produced over 1,500 still photos, most of them in a continuous sequence. I took these photos and created a montage of the joy and music that is produced from home grown/grassroots events such as Rock & Rose.
